Cold wet muddy day (a.k.a. "Rugby Weather")

Slippery, slidey, freezing, mudbowl. Arlington pulled away at our first game against them at their new home pitch, which welcomed us with a lot of standing water. We kicked the ball away all day, but Arlington's fullback, Thunder, was ready for it all day long. Not enough cries of "Noonan" from the sideline perhaps.

On the positive side, our lineouts went well. When the forwards were moving, good things happened. Our try came from a lot of forward pick and drives near the try line.

Snow? What snow?

We are training tonight so get off the couch and grab some warm clothes. You call yourself a rugger? Are you really going to let a little chill keep you from playing?

We play Arlington this weekend and we need the practice. And drag a friend with you to the game if not to practice.

January Showers bring Super Powers

Shape of a rugby player. Form of an ice storm!

Austin tourney rained out. Practice is on for tonight! Dress warmly.

Saturday we travel to Arlington for some payback for the last second 1 point loss in the fall.

(yes, lame attempt at a joke, but it rhymes).

Practice Tonight 1/4 in Plano

7 p.m. on the north side of the Carpenter Rec center in Plano . On the west side of Coit just south of Legacy. Rec Center is a big building surrounded by football/soccer fields. Can't miss it.

Take the road just past the center to the North and look for Swick.

Stay Tuned

We are working out the details to resume practice and will have an announcement soon.

January 13 - We are playing in the Austin tournament. Make plans to go.

DUES - We need your money. USA Rugby just took a big chunk out of our coffers and we need everyone to get current to replenish our funds.
