History

DARC was formed in 1999 through a merger of two older teams: Dallas Our Gang (formed in 1975) and the Dallas Blues. Since then it has performed very well in Divisions 2 and 3 of the Texas Rugby Union, often qualifying for the playoffs.

USA Eagle and winger for Biarritz Takudzwa “Zee” Ngwenya played for DARC after graduating from and playing for Plano High School.

In 2015, DARC achieved 3rd place in the USA National Championships for Division 3, the only loss on the season to the National Champions Wichita. The men’s side was promoted to Division 2 and competes there.

In the summer of 2016, DARC added a competitive Womens side, the DARC Dames!
